Just curious. My wife and I are both with the Windsor Federation of Musicians, and we’ve recently heard about your venue. How do you go about hiring your acts for Thursday and Friday evenigs ? We perform an eclectic selection of pop, jazz, and folk ranging from the ’30′s up to the present day, including a smattering of original compositions. Locally, I recently took over from Glen MacNeil and Peter Boyer as co-ordinator of the Windsor Regional Songwriters Group and, with Glen, we’re overseeing the recording and production of a CD of original songs commemorating the War of 1812.

I’d be very interested in learning more about this opportunity to play at Evolve Cafe. I’ve played at many open mics downtown off and on for the past few years, and have played solo shows at Milk and Sanctuary cafes. I’ve also opened for the band Sophist on several occasions. My youtube page has some rough versions of my songs (all originals and some obscure covers).
Originally from Oakville Ont. Roger Potter of “LIVE RUST A Tribute to Neil Young” (www.liverust.com) is in the midst of planning a return Visit back to Ont. from his current Home in Vancouver BC.
Upon his return, Potter is hoping to Book some Shows for his “Solo Acoustic Tribute to Neil Young” during his stay.
