Live Music at Evolve

September 12th, 2011

Come out on Thursday and Friday evenings between 7 PM and 10 PM and enjoy the sounds of local musicians.

In the past we’ve featured fantastic music from artists such as Kenny Young, Karen Morand and Richard Dutka.

As a special treat we invite you an Tuesdays at 2 for an acoustic set with Karen.

  1. David Light says:

Just curious. My wife and I are both with the Windsor Federation of Musicians, and we’ve recently heard about your venue. How do you go about hiring your acts for Thursday and Friday evenigs ? We perform an eclectic selection of pop, jazz, and folk ranging from the ’30′s up to the present day, including a smattering of original compositions. Locally, I recently took over from Glen MacNeil and Peter Boyer as co-ordinator of the Windsor Regional Songwriters Group and, with Glen, we’re overseeing the recording and production of a CD of original songs commemorating the War of 1812.

Looking foreward to hearing from you !

  2. I’d be very interested in learning more about this opportunity to play at Evolve Cafe. I’ve played at many open mics downtown off and on for the past few years, and have played solo shows at Milk and Sanctuary cafes. I’ve also opened for the band Sophist on several occasions. My youtube page has some rough versions of my songs (all originals and some obscure covers).

  3. Roger Potter says:

Originally from Oakville Ont. Roger Potter of “LIVE RUST A Tribute to Neil Young” (www.liverust.com) is in the midst of planning a return Visit back to Ont. from his current Home in Vancouver BC.
Upon his return, Potter is hoping to Book some Shows for his “Solo Acoustic Tribute to Neil Young” during his stay.
Currently looking at a Fall/Winter Return and looking to Book Shows.
If you have an interest in Booking what has been called “Canada’s Best Tribute to Neil Young” please feel free to return a message regarding a Booking. http://www.liverust.com
Many thanks for your time and here’s to hearing back.

“I had high expectations for your show and was completely blown away. You’ve captured that fine line between naturalness and perfection which is the hallmark of Neil’s songs themselves.
It’s really incredible the sound and feel you guys achieved – it was my favorite concert experience of the year and I can’t wait to see you guys play again.”
Torben Rolfsen of The Vancouver Province Live@5

  4. Is the Thursday and Friday evening a drop in session (like an open mic) or do I have to book a time slot? I have recently moved to Kingsville. I am a part-time singer-songwriter and looking for opportunities to play.

    Thanks
    Robert
